Adesuyan Elected New Chairman of Ondo State Online Media Professionals

Joseph Adesuyan has emerged as the new Chairman of the Ondo State Online Media Professionals (OMP) following a highly competitive election.

The results, announced by Richard Ilesanmi and Kayode Animasaun, Chairman and Secretary of the Electoral Committee, revealed that Adesuyan secured 11 votes to defeat his sole opponent, Temitope Adedeji, who garnered 3 votes.

Other positions were filled unopposed, with Agidi Mary elected as Treasurer with 13 votes, and Isaac Afolabi winning 13 votes to become the new Financial Secretary. The electoral committee declared the election process to be free, fair, and devoid of void ballots.

In his acceptance speech, Adesuyan thanked members for their trust and pledged to lead with integrity, dedication, and a focus on advancing the association’s goals. He also extended an olive branch to Adedeji, calling for unity and collaboration to further strengthen the OMP.

The newly-elected leadership is set to guide the association toward enhanced professionalism, increased collaboration, and greater advocacy for online media practitioners across Ondo State.
