The Executive Chairman of Akure North Local Government, Hon. Johnson Ogunbolude, has expressed his administration’s readiness to partner with People United By Sports (PUBS) to promote grassroots sports development in the area.
Ogunbolude made this known during a courtesy visit by the executive members of PUBS to his office.
He stated that Akure North is always open to developmental initiatives that will positively impact the local government.
“This novel idea from PUBS is a welcome development. As a sports enthusiast, I believe the best way to foster unity among the youth is through sports,” he said.
He added that he is proud to be associated with PUBS, describing the organization as credible and committed to sports development.
“People United By Sports will forever remain one of my best associations,” he affirmed.
Earlier, the President of PUBS, Seun Betiku, officially congratulated Hon. Ogunbolude on his assumption of office as Chairman of Akure North Local Government. He also outlined key areas in which PUBS is seeking collaboration with the council to enhance grassroots sports development.
The highlight of the visit was the presentation of a portrait of the Chairman by PUBS.
