Football Stakeholders Caution Investors Over Sunshine Stars FC

The facilitator of Ondo State Football Stakeholders Forum, Otunba Dele Ologbese has urged Moyero Group and other intending partners to carefully  study the State Government’s s body language before entering into any contractual agreement that has to do with Sunshine Stars Football Club.

He said the State Government is yet to address football loving people of the State on the alleged outright sales of Sunshine Stars football Club which he described as an heritage of the State.

The President of Ologbese Global Sports Management added that it’s pertinent for Mr Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to speak on State Government’s final  decision on outright sales of the team before Ondo State Ministry of Youths and Sports goes into joint ventures with any  organisation.

The former ODSFA Secretary, stated this while addressing sports journalists in Akure, the State Capital.

He said, “we are not against State Government’s collaborations with Moyero Group or any other investors on football development, no doubt, the agreement between both sides will surely generate income for the Government and empower our teaming youths.”

“Our grouse with the Government is that the  Ministry of Youths and Sports Development is putting the cart before the horse for not first  addressing issue of outright sales of the Team before taking  another step. 

“We are eager to know what is going on about the team; It’s looks like Government had hidden  agenda on Sunshine Stars.

“The Moyero Scouting Tourney I want to believe could be part of subtle  gimmicks by government to distract Stakeholders  attention it had backed  out of initial plans to  disposed off the Club  whereas it’s still nogotiating with prospective buyers!.”

“The highly educated and sophisticated Ondo Stakeholders can no longer be deceived nor  hoodwinked.

“Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu should come out openly to allay our fears that our   commonwealth, pride and treasure- Sunshine Stars FC wouldn’t be sold to foreigners at ridiculous price.”
