An Ugbonla grassroots politician, Hon. Olaniyi Ogunfeyimi aka (Niyi Lene) has joined Ilaje local government Chairmanship race.
Hon. Ogunfeyimi in a chat with newsmen disclosed that he joined the race to bring rapid development to the people of Ilaje local government area.
Ogunfeyimi who had experience in Banking sector before joining SETRACO Nigeria Limited,said his aim of joining the contest was to harness the resources at the oil rich local government to develop the area in consultation with the elders and leaders of the LG.
He added what Ilaje Local Government needed is a leader that will carry all the stakeholders along in taking decisions.
Hon. Ogunfeyimi who is a fellow member of Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) added that he will bring his wealth of experience in the private sector to bare in managing the resources of the local.
He said: “I’m a grassroots politician who has always being on ground at Ilaje local government, I understand the terrain, I know where the shoe pinches our people.”
“I attended my primary and secondary schools at Ehinmore Primary School and Ugbonla Secondary School, Ugbonla both in Ilaje Local Government.
“I have always being a progressive minded politician since our days in Alliance for Democracy (AD), Action Congress, Action Congress of Nigeria ACN, now All Progressive Congress APC.”
