LGSC Trains Workers On Effective Service Delivery

The Local Government Service Commission has reiterated its commitment to training and re-training of workers for effective service delivery.

The Chairman of the commission, Mr Femi Idris stated this while declaring open a one day training workshop organised for the executive officers, confidential secretaries and personal assistants at the Commission with the theme; “Effective Work Performance Technique”.

Mr Idris added that the training became necessary to ensure that the productivity level of the workforce is improved and geared towards providing qualitative, efficient service delivery.

He said: “The training will expose the participants to the diverse technique to enhance their efficiency bat work particularly in the area of time management, leadership role at work place,group dynamics and team techniques for organisational success.

“It will also broaden your knowledge and equip you with strategies and techniques to becoming successful leaders as well as exceptional managers in your respective duty post”

“The task of building a more virile local government is the collective responsibility of all of us.”

The permanent secretary of the commission, Mrs Adenike Ogunsola said one of the cardinal objectives of the commission is the training and re-training of her workers for optimal performance in rendering an efficient and effective service to the people.

Ogunsola said the commission will not relent on their responsibility of training and re-training of workers.

She admonished the participants to be actively participate in the training programme ,saying she was convinced that they will be better equiped with greater determination to handle challenges and opportunities in their day to day discharge of their duties.

Some of the participants promised to out what they have learnt at the training in practice in their respective offices.
