The Alumni of Federal Government College, Idoani on Monday honoured one of its outstanding members, Itiako Ikpokpo.
Itiako Ikpokpo aka Malik is the Co-Chairman of the maiden Niger Delta Sports Festival organized by Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Representing the Alumni of Federal Government College, Idoani, Mr Akintunde Akinsemola, who is also a member of Ondo State Liaison Committee of Nigeria Delta Sports Festival commended the dexterity of Itiako Ikpokpo since his days at Federal Government College Idoani.
“On behalf of thousands who over the years attended FGC Idoani led by the Alumni president Alex Akindumila, I am elated and impressed by your sterling performance in organizing a befitting Niger Delta Sports Festival for the 9 mandate states.
“Despite the various challenges here and there, you weathered the stormed and gave a great account of yourself as co-chairman of the Main Organizing Committee.”
He added that Ikpokpo’s doggedness, calmness and brilliance have made him a great ambassador of FGC Idoani.
Reacting, Itiako Ikpokpo appreciated the Alumni of Federal Government College, Idoani for the honour done on him.
“I thank and appreciate this honour done on me by the Alumni of my school; I will continue to be a good ambassador of the Alumni” he said.
