Ologbese, Other APC Leaders Drum Support For Ayedatiwa In Iwaro-Oka

Ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship’s primary election slated for April this year, Leaders of the party in Iwaro – Oka and Ayegunle-Oka in Akoko South West Local Government have declared their unwavering support for the incumbent Governor of Ondo State, Hon.Lucky Aiyedatiwa to emerge as party’s flagbearer for November’s Gubernatorial election.

The declaration was made at a stakeholders meeting, which had representatives from three wards in Iwaro-Oka, Ayegunle-Oka was facilitated and hosted by a chieftain of the party in Akoko South West Local Government,Otunba Dele Ologbese

Ologbese, in his opening speech, assured the leaders that the incumbent governor, Hon. lucky Aiyedatiwa will receive overwhelming support of the delegates or members of the party in the three wards in Iwaro-Oka and Ayegunle-Oka in securing party’s nomination.

Ologbese, represented by one of the leaders from Ward six, Pastor Segun Arogundade added that with Governor’s vast knowledge, experience or pedigree as a successful businessman, former NDDC Commissioner, former Deputy Governor, Acting Governor and currently a Governor gives him greater edge or advantage over other aspirants.

He said Ondo State can no longer be used as experimental tools, adding that we need someone like Aiyedatiwa who has understood the terrain and undergone thorough tutelage under his late boss, Aketi

He said: “Within a spate of few months as Governor, Ayedatiwa had proved himself as a good leader and friend of the masses by his populist agenda or projects which were tailored towards improving the lots of the people of the state positively.”

According to him, “the good people of the three wards had good knowledge of Mr Governor’s transformational programmes, which had impacted the state positively and they have no option other than throwing their full weights behind him in achieving his ambition.

“He is the only trusted candidate to deliver democratic dividends to the people of the area without looking back.”

Ologbese, while commending the Akoko South West APC Local Government leaders for their sacrifices, loyalty and unflinching support for the governor, said the Iwaro-Oka Ayegunle-Oka stakeholders meeting was a follow up to the local government rally held earlier.

He said it becomes imperative for every party member, men, women, and youths in the area to take their respective campaigns to every home with a view to selling Mr Governor’s candidature.

Also speaking, High Chief Austin Omode (known as Rollin Pin) who spoke on behalf of other leaders said Iwaro- Oka and Ayegunle-Oka people are solidly behind the Governor, expressing confidence and great optimism that Aiyedatiwa will secure the party’s nomination in April 2024 and will win the general election in November this year.

Other leaders who attended the stakeholders meeting from three wards were Chief Omoare Clement, Mr Bobuwa Joseph, High Chief Sunday Ogodo, Mrs Stella Ademokoya, Mrs Kikelomo Osho, Hon Wole Orole, Hon Mrs Omoare Helen, Mr Kuye Boyo, Mr Ademokoya, Mr Ayire Micheal, Comrade Pelumi Agboola, Mr Sule Leonard and host of others
