PUBS Congratulates New Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development

People United By Sports (PUBS) has congratulated Hon. Omoyofunmi Segun Henry on his appointment as the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development in Ondo State.

In a statement signed and made available to newsmen, the President of PUBS, Seun Betiku, described the appointment as “a round peg in a round hole.”

“His previous involvement in youth mentoring programmes and his impressive track record in public service make him a perfect fit for this pivotal role,” Betiku stated.

He expressed optimism that the new Commissioner will bring youthful energy and fresh ideas to positively transform the ministry.

While thanking the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for fulfilling his promise made during one of the youth programmes held at the International Event Centre, Akure (The Dome), PUBS urged the Commissioner to immediately roll up his sleeves and begin the much-needed development in the sector.

“We assure the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development of our maximum support and willingness to collaborate in the quest to take sports in Ondo State to greater heights while also creating meaningful platforms for youth development,” the statement added.

Once again, we say congratulations and wish Hon. Omoyofunmi Segun Henry a successful and impactful tenure in office.
