It was celebration all the way at the Ondo State Development and Property Corporation (OSDPC) following Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s confirmation of Mrs. Nene Ogunleye as the substantive General Manager of the corporation.
Her appointment marks a historic milestone as she becomes the first female to head the agency since its establishment.
Mrs. Ogunleye, who had served in an acting capacity for seven months, rose through the ranks after beginning her journey at the corporation as a corps member in 1998.
She was recognised as the Best Corps Member and subsequently offered automatic employment in 1999 during the administration of the late Governor Adebayo Adefarati.
In her remarks, Ogunleye pledged to operate an inclusive and participatory administration.
“I have always been a team player,” she said. “As General Manager, I will work towards getting the best out of our staff and ensuring that everyone is carried along.”
She expressed gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa and the Head of Service, Mr. Bayo Philip, promising diligence in her new role.
Describing the appointment as historic, Head of Planning, Research and Statistics, Mr. Seun Komolafe, said the development signified progress and inclusivity within the corporation.
He noted that her leadership would usher in greater growth for OSDPC.
