Adesida, in a statement celebrating the chairman’s leadership, said Olademiji had brought a fresh sense of direction to the council since assuming office, expressing confidence in his ability to advance sports development in the state.
He said the chairman’s approach had helped restore confidence among athletes, coaches, staff and other members of the sporting community, adding that his leadership was characterised by accessibility, humility and a commitment to results.
According to Adesida, a recent gesture by the chairman had brought smiles to members of the council and demonstrated a people-centred approach to administration.
He described the gesture as a significant milestone in the council’s history, praising Olademiji for his generosity and concern for the welfare of the sporting community.
“Hon. Olademiji is not just a chairman; he is a man of virtue, a man of a kind and compassionate heart. A leader who listens, a leader who cares,” Adesida said.
He added that coaches and staff of the council were supportive of the chairman, citing what he described as his sincerity and commitment to the development of sports in Ondo State.
Adesida also commended Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for appointing Olademiji to lead the council, describing the decision as evidence of the governor’s commitment to the growth of sports in the state.
He expressed optimism that the chairman’s tenure would usher in a period of sustained progress, with improved welfare and renewed opportunities for athletes and other sports professionals.
The stakeholder urged Olademiji to maintain his commitment to the sector, saying his administration could become a defining period in the development of sports in the state, popularly known as the Sunshine State.
He concluded by expressing confidence in the future of Ondo sports and calling for continued support for the chairman and the state government’s efforts to strengthen the sector.
