The President of Ologbese Global Sports Management, Otunba Dele Ologbese, has warned Nigeria’s Super Falcons to be cautious of their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) quarter-final opponents, Zambia, when they clash in Morocco on Friday.
Ologbese, in a chat with newsmen, emphasised the importance of the tie, urging Super Falcons coach Justin Madugu to approach the game with his best players and well-thought-out strategies outclass ambitious Zambian team.
“I’m very sure Madugu, who knows his onions, understands the significance of this encounter.
“He will surely field his winning side and deploy the best strategies in outplaying the highly ambitious Zambians, who are fully determined to win the elusive trophy,” he said.
The former Vice Chairman of the Ondo State Football Association noted that Zambian football has undergone rapid transformation in recent years under the leadership of the Football Association (FA), formerly headed by Andrew Kamanga and now succeeded by Keith Nweemba, who was elected president in 2025.

“The Zambian Women U-20 team also retained the COSAFA title just a few hours ago, after defeating South Africa 2-0, which suggests that Zambia is fast becoming a powerhouse in African women’s football.”
He revealed that the Zambian team boasts a crop of highly talented, enterprising youngsters blended with skillful veterans, all poised to spring surprises at this glamorous competition.
“The team’s captain, Barbra Banda, who plies her trade in the NWSL with Orlando Pride, is the chief motivator and a formidable threat, tasked with tormenting Nigeria’s sleek defence with her extraordinary goal-scoring prowess.”
“The Zambian team’s strength lies in their free-flowing football, in-depth tactical and physical abilities, coupled with dominance in aerial duels and swift counter-attacks.”
“I’m re-emphasising this: the Super Falcons must beware of Zambia as they face them in the quarter-finals in Casablanca on Friday,” he stated.
