No fewer than 12 teams will compete for top honours at the Asiwaju Renewed Hope Southwest 3×3 Basketball Championship, scheduled to take place in Akure, Ondo State.

The two-day tournament, organised by the Nigeria Southwest Basketball Association with the support of the Minister of Interior, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, promises an exciting blend of basketball, entertainment and youth engagement as leading teams from across the South-West converge on Democracy Park, Oja Oba.

He noted that Democracy Park, situated in the heart of Oja Oba, provides an open and vibrant atmosphere that brings the game closer to the people.

Mr Adebowale added that the championship is aimed at strengthening community engagement through basketball, describing Akure as the ideal environment to achieve that objective.

The competition will feature 12 teams drawn from all South-West states, including Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ekiti, Osun and host state Ondo, with expectations of a strong turnout of talented players, coaches, fans and special guests from across the region.
