Atunluse Initiatives has commended the President of the Federal republic of Nigeria Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his timely intervention in resolving the political and Constitutional crisis in Ondo State.
The group who stated this during their state’s executive meeting held in Akure the state capital, used Pa Reuben Fasoranti as a point of contact to thank other political, religious, ethnic and community leaders with and outside their resolute in ensuring their is a peace in the state.
The Sociopolitical organization while praying for th quick recovery of the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu applauded him for transmitting power to his Deputy .Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa in acting capacity pending the time he will resume from medical leave.
The group also congratulated the Deputy Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa on his assumption of office as the acting Governor and charged him not to fail the masses that stood with him in time of trouble.
The group said he should remember that masses were with him during the turbulent time, saying it was people that stood against his impeachment when some political hawks were after him.
The group admonished Aiyedatiwa to understand clearly that he is carrying a heavy burden, the people expect much from him. (to whom much is given, much is expected). Hon. Lucky Aiyedatuwa is reminded to note clearly that it was the people who stood against his impeachment and also clamored for his elevation to the Acting Governor status.”
The executive committee members of the organisation reaffirmed their commitment to working towards a prosperous and harmonious Ondo State. They expressed their gratitude to all those who have supported Atunluse initiatives and urged the people of the state to continue collaborating and working together for greater good.
“We are ready to continue our mission of promoting unity, progress, and development within Ondo State. As the group moves forward, it remains committed to fostering a sense of collective responsibility and action among the people, ensuring that the grass suffers less in the governmental system.”
The group’s convener, Otunba Akin Akinbobola condemned the act of some elements that used the absence of Mr. Governor to generate crisis that will aid them to commit unfathomable atrocities within governance leading to poor account for state funds, to the forging of the governor’s signature as expressed by a commissioner in order to siphon funds and perpetrate evil to the detriment of Ondo state people.”
Akinbobola said the group will continue to fight against injustice, wickedness, cheating and flagrant abuse of the oppressed people.
He asked leaders to get ready in the event that there may be need to engage in another struggle as long as it’s in the interest of the masses.
He said: “Because,Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN has been absent for months and there was no clear captain to steer the ship of state, some unscrupulous elements fanned the embers of disunity, cause confusion and unrest in the political space of Ondo state so they could have a field day to plunder the commonwealth of the state” Akinbobola stated”.
In his opening remarks, the group’s Director General, Amb. Sikiru Adetona emphasized the importance of collaboration, dialogue, setting of common goal in achieving success. He urged members to remain dedicated to the cause of the organization and to always put the interests of the people first.
