Ijapo Ages FC (IAFC)have against all odds picked a semi final ticket in the ongoing 2023 D’Royal Football Club (DFC) off season competition tagged (8- Team Tournament).
The Ijapo Ages FC defeated their opponent FEMA FC 6-0 in their group last match to qualify for the semi final as second placed team in group B.
With the victory , Ijapo based side will pitch tent against Victory Lions who had earlier stung young Kings FC 2-1in their last group game to leap into the semi final as the group B leader.
Weli Weli FC also dashed the hope of CELICA FC semi final qualification with 2-0 victory in the final group B match decided at the Ondo State Sports complex, Akure.
Weli Weli FC who topped group B are the only team that qualified with 100 percent victory, by winning all their group matches .
The group B leaders will go head to head with Barracks Eagles in the second semi final of the competition.
The sponsor of the competition, Mathew Olaniboji has insisted that the competition will go as promised, without compromise from any quarters, thanking all the participating teams for displaying spirit of sportsmanship.
He said: “I dey with every team with one mind, equal opportunity for all the participating teams no going back”, he said.
