According to a statement from the office of the Head of Service, Pastor Kayode Ogundele, the Work-Free Day earlier fixed for Friday, 10th of March, 2023 would now be observed on Friday, 17th March just as INEC has rescheduled the election for Saturday, 18th March as against Saturday 11th earlier fixed.
Pastor Ogundele said the holiday is in recognition of the need for some officers to travel to areas where they registered to vote.
While appreciating Governor Akeredolu’s kind disposition to the state workforce, the Head of Service charged the workers to utilize the opportunity to go and vote, adding that they should have the strategic interest of the state in their minds in their choice of candidates.
