Workers in the Ondo State Public Service have gathered to pray to God for the quick recovery of the state governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON, who is currently on medical leave.

It would be recalled that the governor commenced a medical leave on the 7th of June, 2023 to attend to his health issue while he handed over the affairs of the state to his Deputy, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa to act in his absence.

The prayers, which was held simultaneously across ministries, departments and agencies saw all categories of workers showing their concern about Akeredolu’s ill health as they raised their voices to cry to God for his healing.

Citing the book James chapter 5 vs 13 to 16, the state Head of Service, Pastor Kayode Ogundele, FCIPM, expressed confidence in the efficacy of the joint prayers of the workers and the eventual quick recovery of the governor.

According to him, the prayer sessions held by workers simultaneously in all MDAs demonstrated the avowed love of workers in the state for Gov. Akeredolu, believing that the governor would soon come back to the state hale and hearty.
