ITA-NLA BILLBOARD REMOVAL: HON. ABIOLA MAKINDE’S AIDE ACCUSED OF SABOTAGING DR. AJILO’S CAMPAIGN

The Ajilo support group condemns in strong terms the deliberate and unauthorized removal of the campaign billboard of Dr. Michael Akintomide Ajilo, a leading aspirant for the Ondo East/West Federal Constituency seat under the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 elections.

The billboard, located at Ita-Nla Junction in Ondo City, was erected less than a month ago under a paid contractual agreement, facilitated by Mr. Adeniyi Adeyosoye (Neyo), Legislative Aide 1 to the incumbent House of Representatives member, Hon. Abiola Makinde. The contract clearly stipulated a three-month display period. Shockingly, the billboard was dismantled and replaced with another bearing Hon. Makinde’s image—without prior notice, explanation, or refund.

This act is provocative, destabilizing, and unacceptable, especially in the already delicate political climate of our constituency. While Dr. Ajilo and Hon. Makinde may no longer share political alignment, such differences must not be exploited as a pretext for intimidation or sabotage.

We call on Hon. Makinde to rein in his aides, discourage further acts capable of inciting conflict, and uphold the APC’s values of civility and internal democracy. We also demand that Mr. Adeyosoye immediately rectify this breach by restoring the original agreement in good faith.

Let it be known that Ajilo support group will not tolerate further tampering with our principal’s campaign materials anywhere in Ondo Kingdom. Political ambition must never override personal integrity or party unity.

We remain committed to peaceful, issue-based politics and urge all stakeholders to protect the credibility and stability of our great party.
