The Managing Director of the Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority, Dr. Femi Adekanmbi has expressed happiness over the recent defection of the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, into the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to him, this development signifies a major milestone, as all governors under the Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority states are now members of the same party, potentially fostering enhanced collaboration and progress in the region.
In a statement, Adekanmbi congratulated Governor Oborevwori on his decision, expressing optimism that this new alignment would yield dividends for the people of Delta State and the entire region.
With this development, Adekanmbi expressed confidence that President Tinubu’s leadership will emerge victorious in the next election, given the party’s growing strength and grassroots support.
“With all the governors now in one party, it will make our project implementation at BORBDA easier.”
He noted that the APC’s consolidation of power at various levels of government positions the party for a resounding victory, which will further cement President Tinubu’s vision for Nigeria.
According to Adekanmbi, “It is a good decision by the governor, as he has performed well, and he is a valuable addition to the party and President Tinubu’s reelection.”
