Leaders of Atunluse initiatives across the 18 local government have been charged to embark on aggressive mobilisation ahead of the forthcoming November Governorship election.
Chairman of the Organisation, Otunba Akinsola Akinbobola stated this at the leadership meeting of the group held in Akure on Sunday.
Akinbobola commended the leadership of the organisation for their steadfastness and for believing in the course of the group, saying Atunluse Initiatives will present acceptable Governorship candidate for the people of the state.
“We have the record of taking right decisions, we have done it before and we are going to do it again “.
The former Special Adviser on Political and Mobilisation to the ex-Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko said the Atunluse initiatives has the wherewithall and membership spread to dictate who is going to become the next Governor of the state.
Atunluse initiatives is a conglomerate of different professionals, Youth organisations, non Indigenous group, bodies like, Hausa Community, Igbira community, Benue community, Artisans, NURTW, Okada Riders, Osun and Ekiti Descendants, amongst others.
Otunba Akinbobola said: “Atunluse remains apolitical, we have no standard affiliation with any political party, we are a sociopolitical organisation with the vision to propagate and solicit for a better living for the masses”.
He urged members of the group across the state to stand firm, saying many people and other groups are warming up to join forces with Atunluse Initiatives for betterment and development of the state.
In his welcome address, the Director General of the organisation, Elder Sikiru Adetona admonished members to be focused, remain unshakable, saying joint decisions will be taken from top to bottom where the group’s pendulum will swing in the coming Governorship election.
He said: “We are not going to renege on our principles and any political party/candidate that will get the groups nod must be very friendly and should have prosperous people oriented programmes”, he stated.
