Ondo HOS Extols Virtue Of LGSC Perm Sec, Ogunsola As She Bows Out Of Service 

Retire Permanent Secretary of Local Government Service Commission (LGSC), Mrs Adenike Ogunsola has been described as a dutiful and diligent officer.

Ondo State Head of Service Pastor Kayode Ogundele stated this at the “Pens Down” ceremony organised in honour of Mrs Adenike Ogunsola who retired from  after 35 years meritorious service to humanity.

The ceremony held at the Commission’s Secretariat in Alagbaka, Akure, Ondo State was organised in honour of the retired permanent Secretary afforded associates, friends, family members, and well-wishers to extoll her rare virtues.

The Pens Down ceremony which coincided with a book launch written by the celebrant, was conducted by the Head of Service, Pastor Kayode Ogundele.

The Head of Service while congratulating Mrs Ogunsola, commended her family and numerous well-wishers for celebrating her in grand style.

Ogundele added Mrs Ogunsola contributed diligently to the growth and advancement of the commission , adding that it is an accomplishment that should not be taken for granted. 

He lauded the retired permanent Secretary  for her loyalty, commitment, perseverance, dedication and untold sacrifices through the years,while also acknowledging her doggedness and the good legacy she left behind.

The Head of Service advised civil servants in the state to focus on thier job.

He said: Run away from partisan politics, always thrive to end well and leave a good legacy.

“ When you get to a stage like this in the public service we need to thank God, but what legacy are you going to leave when you exit the service? My advise to those in the system is that your action and inaction will determine whether you  will end well or otherwise.

“Most critical thing what we need is to do your work and do it well, Prosperity will always judge as there will be positive feedback from the public if you do well,” he stated.

In their remarks,  the Head of Admin Management Service of the commission, Mr.Baratei Kegbe described the former Permanent  Secretary as an administrator  with a high level of discipline  who  believes everything that has to be done must be done well.

Also, chairman, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Ondo State Chapter,Com. Bola Taiwo noted that her selfless contributions to the commission and the state will always be a reference point.

On behalf of the Akoko sons and daughters, the Director of General Service and Administration,Kehinde Olumo,  said Ogunsola leadership  is worth of emulation.

The celebrant’s son, Olasubomi Ogunsola while extolling her mother’s rare virtues, said he was happy to identify with her and happy she is his mother

While responding, Mrs Ogunsola, expressed appreciation to God for His mercy upon her throughout her service years and grace bestowed on her to attain highest pinnacle of her career.

She equally thanked the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN,  for his courage, love and for believing in her.

He advised those still in service not to look back but ensure they contribute their quota immensely to improve  the State and humanity in general.

The programme was well attended by traditional rulers, top public workers, politicians, academics, captains of industry, friends and well-wishers.
