A prominent Akure indigene and former Commissioner for Natural Resources, Hon. Idowu Otetubi has felicitated with the Deji of Akure Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade, Odundun II, on the 2023 Ulefunta Festival.
In a signed personally signed by Otetubi, said the Ulefunta festival has become the most celebrated in Akure Kingdom.
Ulefunta is the peak of all traditional festivals in the state capital. It is the traditional annual leave of the monarch during which he would not be seen in public for seven days. He usually uses the seven-day period of seclusion to pray for peace and development of the town.
Otetubi, a former council Chairman in Akure local government felicitates with all Akure indigenes home and abroad.
“On behalf of my family, it is with great pleasure that I extend my warm greetings to your Majesty, Oba Ogunlade Aladetoyinbo, Odundun II, the traditional chiefs and the organisers for making Ulefunta an international festival”
Ulefunta festival is a rejuvenation of rich Akure culture and tradition to the international community and a unique way of convergence of all Akure sons and daughters to contribute meaningfully to the development of the city.

He added that the display of cultural values of Akure during the festival has further enriched Ulefunta to attract investors and sponsors into the state.
