The People United By Sports (PUBS) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to its esteemed patron, Hon. Sunday Olajide, on his recent nomination as a Commissioner by the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
In a statement jointly signed by the PUBS President, Seun Betiku, and General Secretary, Kehinde Odogun, the organization described Hon. Olajide’s nomination as a well-deserved recognition of his dedication and service.
According to PUBS, the nomination of the former member of the Ondo State House of Assembly, who represented Akure South Constituency 2, did not come as a surprise. They noted that Hon. Olajide is a community-conscious leader and a committed member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), both within Ondo State and nationally.
“Hon. Sunday Olajide is a round peg in a round hole,” the statement read. “We have no doubt that he will perform exceptionally well in any capacity, given his proven track record as a technocrat in both the public and private sectors.”
The group also commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for what they described as a thoughtful and deliberate choice.
“We commend and thank the hardworking Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for taking the time to select trusted and capable hands to help implement his people-oriented policies across the state,” the statement continued.
“It is our hope—just like that of every well-meaning indigene of Ondo State—that these new nominees will work diligently with the Governor to make our dear state one of the best administered in the country.”
