Remo Stars goalkeeper, Sabitu Abiola Ibrahim, has congratulated his grassroots coach, Oladimeji Abimbola, on successfully completing a four-week football academy development program in Germany.
The program was organized by X-Touch in collaboration with UEFA-licensed German football administrator, Coach Thomas Geist.
In a statement, Ibrahim praised Coach Abimbola’s contribution to his football career, saying: “Coach Abimbola transformed me from a central defender to a goalkeeper after one of our competitions in Abuja a few years ago.
“I must congratulate and thank him for his passion for coaching and his impact on my career, which extends beyond the pitch. He’s not just a coach, but a father and mentor who takes delight in developing and nurturing talents to stardom.”
Ibrahim expressed confidence that Coach Abimbola’s international experience would be instrumental in developing grassroots football in Ondo State and Nigeria, adding, “I have no doubt that this experience will be a game-changer.”
Notably, Coach Abimbola also completed a certification program in Management and Match Preparations Analysis at Sportvein 19 Straelen EV, Germany.
