A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Otunba Dele Ologbese has described the position of Ondo Elite group on the possible dissolution of party’s state executive as laughable and fear of unknown.
Ologbese said their vituperation is not only blantantly irritating and unwise, but an attempt by few sets of people that held the state in the jugular for months to continue intimidating and distracting the Governor of pursuing populists agenda that will return the state on paths of socioeconomic prosperity.
The Coordinator of the Advocacy for Good Governance added that the State had been successfully rescued from the cabals, saying there is no going back on the advocacy for people-oriented programmes for the masses.
“Enough is enough for the few individuals to be milking the state for their parochial interests.
According to him, “it should be abundantly clear that the era of pushing the Governor here and there, treating him like a child and making him a “punching bag” by shameless political actors has gone and gone forever.”
“The Governor is presently the highest political figure and he is extraordinarily focused with untainted zest in directing the state’s affairs in positive directions to the admiration of impoverished citizenry itching for a turn-around of their fortunes incorrigibly circumvented through misrule of the cabals.”
“It will be a great disservice to the teeming party’s loyalists especially large chunk of its funding fathers completely sidelined, oppressed, victimized and thrown into political oblivion owing to nepotism and despotism of its leadership, if the Governor as the leader of the party fails to quickly re-engineer or structure the party at all levels dominated by handpicked cronies of Party’s leaders.”
“It’s most despicable that top shots of the party who are supposed to maintain their neutrality in the political imbroglio in the state, took side with the cabals led by Babajide Akeredolu, Oladunni Odu, Dare Aragbaiye, Wale Akinterinwa and host of others who ran the State by proxy in the absence of the peace loving late Governor”
“It’s mindblogging that the State Party Chairman, Ade Adetimehin, was said to be nursing ambition to be Deputy to one of the aspirants and believed if only Ayedatiwa is shown the way out of the system, he will have his way and the reason he participated actively in the impeachment plans against him.”
“Thank God that Aiyedatiwa was rescued from the gulag through prompt intervention of the President, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, who directed that the impeachment proceedings against him be brought to an end.”
“Ondo APC’s structure is critically ill, it needed to be remodeled towards making it serve the overall interests of its teeming members on the paths of fair play and justice.”
