Stop Campaign of Calumny Against Ondo D/Gov, Abiodun Michael Warns Politicians

A businessman, Abiodun Micheal has described as laughable, the mind boggling lies against the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, describing him as a decent human being who loves his wife dearly.

A group, under the auspices of the Society for Women Empowerment, last week alleged that Ayedatiwa had physically assaulted his wife twice in four months which, according to it, was against the ethics of his office.

Abiodun said those behind the plot are few disgruntled individuals, unpatriotic elements, and mischief makers who are out to see the back of Aiyedatiwa. They are peddling falsehood, circulating fake news without facts and empirical evidence, ill motivated reports against the Deputy Governor because of the governorship contest next year.

He warned the sponsors of such lies to desist or have the security agencies to contend with. The claims by these perfidious individuals are not only spurious but outright falsehood.

They are only out to smear his name, damage his reputation, his good name and the office he represents.

“I am from the same local government with Mr. Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu. The Deputy Governor that i know is too decent and sophisticated to do such a thing. He is a refined gentleman who is daily praying for the well being of his boss”

Abiodun appealed to those churning out lies and falsehoods against the Deputy Governor to turn a new leaf.

“What they should be doing now is to pray for the Governor so that he can get back on his feet. Apparently they are praying for the death of His Excellency. They are hell bent in setting the state on fire, but God will disgrace all of them in due course”

“Let it be known to them that Ondo State is bigger than any individual, no matter how highly placed,” the statement said.  

He added that Aiyedatiwa has the requisite ability to lead the state in the absence of Gov. Akeredolu. However, anyone who feels otherwise is either unpatriotic or corrupt and doesn’t wish the state well.”

“The reason for all these malicious write up is because of the governorship election in 2024. Those writing thrash cannot stop what God has destined”

“Aiyedatiwa is like a senior brother to me. I know hom very well. He meant well and he remains eternally grateful to his Boss, the Governor”.
