Workers in Ondo State under the auspices of the Trade Union Congress, TUC, has expressed delight in the safe return of the state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON, after his full recovery from his illness.
In a statement jointly signed by the state Chairman, Mr Clement Fatuase and the Secretary, Dr. Gideon Bakare, they thanked God for granting the prayers of the workers who gathered across all MDA’s to pray for his speedy recovery.
While thanking the people of the state for their resilience and understanding while the governor was away on his medical vacation abroad, the TUC expressed optimism that return of Akeredolu could only imply renewed hope for the workers particularly at this crucial time in struggle of labour movement giving the avowed worker-friendly posture of the governor.
You will recall that Gov. Akeredolu, who returned to the country on Thursday after about three months medical in leave in Germany and had since resumed to his duties as governor of the state on Friday after transmitting a letter to the state House of Assembly to that effect
