The Board of Ondo State Football Association (FA) has appealed to governments at all levels to find lasting solutions to the constant insecurity in the country.
The Board sympathized with Sunshine Stars about the ugly incident of attack by men of the underworld on their way to Benin City for Week 13 of NPFL and wished the injured players and officials Quick recovery.
The Football Association in a communique issued at the end of their board meeting held at the Ondo State Sports complex,Akure,said they were
not happy about the performance of Sunshine Queens FC at the ongoing NWFL and appealed to all the stakeholders to assist and support them not to go on relegation again.
The Board resolved to start the Governor’s Cup early next year as soon as the local government chairmen are settled down in the office.
“The Board, expressed gratitude to the CEO of Bet9ja, Mr Kunle Soname for the sponsorship drive embarked upon in Ondo State and the board expressed satisfaction with the level of this year’s participation of Bet9ja Ondo State Football League and gave kudos to Bet9ja league management committee headed by Mr yomi Seriki.”
The Board also approved the reconstitution of moribund and inactive FA committees by next year 2024.
It encourages Sunshine Stars to improve their performance to qualify for the continent next year.”
