A renowned businessman and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Gbenga Eleduma, has warmly congratulated His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, CFR, Odundun II, the Deji and Paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom, on the well-deserved conferment of an Honorary Doctorate Degree by Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State.
In a statement personally signed and made available to newsmen in Akure, ℎ described the global recognition as “a fitting crown on a life of selfless service, exemplary leadership, and uncommon philanthropy.
“This honour did not come to Kabiyesi by accident,” Eleduma noted.
“It is the reward of a king who has turned the throne into a platform of empowerment, who has touched countless lives through education, health, youth development, and women emancipation, and who has remained a shining example of what true royalty should be in modern times.”
He particularly praised the decision of Achievers University to also enlist the Deji of Akure into its Hall of Fame as an eminent alumnus, saying it speaks volumes about the monarch’s deep investment in the growth of the institution and his passion for academic excellence.
Eleduma, who is the Chairman o , further commended Oba Aladetoyinbo for continually raising the bar of traditional leadership in Yoruba land, adding that the monarch’s towering profile as Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, and his national honour as Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR) are further testimonies to his stature as a bridge-builder and nation-builder.
While praying for the monarch’s continued good health and longer reign, the APC chieftain urged other traditional rulers to emulate the Deji’s model of progressive and people-centred kingship.
“Kabiyesi, this honour is not just for you alone; it is for the entire Akure Kingdom, for Ondo State, and indeed for Yoruba race. We are proud of you, and we celebrate you today and always”, ℎ concluded.
