Emmydinho were leading 2-1 in the first half of the FA Cup round of 32 decided at Maracana Stadium Ajegunle.
Synergy Ultimate FA scored early in the second half to make it 2-2 through a penalty after one of their players was brought down in the area box.
Emmydinho restored their lead minutes later as both sides continue to display football artistry to the admiration of the spectators.
Synergy Ultimate FA later fired home late two goals to dump their opponent out of the Lagos State FA Cup.
In a chat with Newsmen, Emmydinho FC Coach, Olasunkanmi Raphael Olajuyin apologised to the fans and supporters of the club for letting them down, saying better days ahead.
Olajuyin added that they underrated their opponent and pay dearly for it after coming from a dominant and winning in the first half.
According to him, “the match was a bit early for us, we couldn’t play any friendly matches prior to the FA Cup, no doubt we lost focus in the second half as the Boys were focus playing beautiful football rather than focusing on winning.”
“They exhausted themselves and tired at the closing stage of the match, they couldn’t stage a come back for winning or draw.
“our striker who is one of the best in Lagos , Calors Brain was not at his best because he was down with malaria.
“I commend the effort of the team captain, John Okoro, defender, Uche Topnotch and others who gave their best in the encounter, the lost remains a nightmare to me and a day I will never forget in a hurry.
“We shall work on the future together and forget the past,we are one of the best among the clubs in Lagos State.
“We shall build unity and work harder together in our forthcoming league matches in the Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO1) to earn promotion to the second division NNL.”
He thanked the president of the Club, Mr Emeka Emmydinho for his support
