The Executive Chairman of Henry 707 Sports Limited, Mr. Henry Ubogu, has reaffirmed his management’s commitment to promoting sports development among youths in Southwest Nigeria.

Mr. Ubogu made this statement while addressing journalists in Lagos during the just-concluded International Scouting Program held at the Onikan Stadium, which featured scouts from Turkey and France.

He emphasized the importance of inclusivity in sports, noting that grassroots scouting programs are key to discovering new talents across Nigeria. He further stressed the need to give opportunities to young athletes, particularly those from underserved communities.

Mr. Ubogu announced that the scouting program will continue in Ibadan, Oyo State, and conclude with the final phase in Akure, Ondo State, where the top eight academy teams will compete in a four-day scouting tournament. The event is scheduled to take place from October 1st to October 4th, 2025, at the Akure Township Stadium.

He also highlighted the critical role of sports in crime prevention, stating that many youths will be taken off the streets and given meaningful opportunities. Outstanding talents discovered during the tournament will be invited to Lagos for the next phase of evaluation.

Speaking further, the Scouting Consultant overseeing the program, Comrade Oluwatope Ayokunle, popularly known as Tubaba Football Expert Network, assured Henry 707 Sports Limited of a successful scouting tour, pledging full support to the company’s vision.
