Nigeria Minifootball Association Appoints Amarachi Emmanuel as National Women’s Coach

Sunshine Stars/Queens U-17 and U-15 head coach, Amarachi Vivian Emmanuel, has been appointed as the new head coach of the Nigeria Women’s Minifootball Team.

Coach Emmanuel holds a CAF C Coaching License (Women’s Exclusive Course) from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), a Basic Certificate in Football Coaching from the National Institute for Sports (NIS), Lagos, as well as a Diploma in Sports Science Technology. She also attended the Rio London University Transpersonal Leadership Philosophy Seminar in 2022.

In an appointment letter obtained by Sporting Hope, and signed by the Secretary General of the Nigeria Minifootball Association (NMA), Paul Maduakar, the association confirmed her new role and expressed confidence in her capacity to lead the team.

According to the letter: “Your appointment comes in recognition of your proven technical expertise, leadership qualities, and consistent contribution to the growth and development of women’s minifootball in Nigeria.

 As coach, you are expected to provide strategic direction, oversee player development, coordinate training programs, and ensure the team’s optimal preparedness for all national and international engagements.”

The letter further stated. “Your tenure begins immediately upon acceptance of this letter, and you will work closely with the Technical Department of the association to ensure smooth and effective operations.”

It also noted that additional details regarding her responsibilities, expectations, and support structure will be communicated by the Technical Director.

The NMA concluded by expressing full confidence in her ability to lead the national women’s team to excellence and uphold the association’s core values of professionalism, discipline, and commitment.
