The Management of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic,Owo under the headship of Mr.Adegun Simon Olorunwa, Ag .Rector of Rugipo visited His imperial Majesty , Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye , 111, the Olowo of Owo on Tuesday, 23rd January, 2024.
During the Courtesy visit, the Ag.rector opined that the visit was to commisserate with the Royal majesty on the demise of the former Governor of Ondo – State Arakunrin Odunayo Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
He prayed God to grant the Olowo ,the owo community and the entire Sunshine state the fortitude to bear this great loss.He took his time to also appreciate the pragmatic efforts of the Kabiyesi to the progress of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, owo.
In response to his eulogies, the imperial Majesty, oba Ajibade Ogunoye 111 thanked the Ag.rector and his Management team for the courtesy visit and also expressed his shock on the untimely death of the former Governor of Ondo – State.
His imperial Majesty, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye 111 also remarked that the current Governor of Ondo state His Excellency, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa would endear himself to the yearnings of the Polytechnic staff on the challenges facing the staff of the institution when such are presented to him .
He therefore enjoins the entire Polytechnic Community to co -operate with his administration..
On his part, he would continue to make meaningful impacts towards the advancement of the institution.
The visit was homecoming and the Ag.rector appreciated the cordial and gracious reception accorded the team.
The meeting was graced by the Ag.Registrar Mr.Yemi Suleeman and other members of the Rugipo management team.
