RUGIPO Woos Investors For Staff, Students Welfare Sustainability 

The Ag.rector, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo Mr.Adegun Simon Olorunwa has started  a silent but concerted revolution in the institution .He had a conviction that by the endowment of human and material resources  in the institution, the fortunes of the Polytechnic can be effectively tapped for the benefit of the entire Polytechnic community.

Mr.Adegun said that this is necessary to ensure the sustenance of the welfare  of both staff and students of the institution as well as in enhancing the growth and development of the Polytechnic.

The Ag.rector expressed this opinion  while hosting a team of investors led by  Pastor Gokke Aniyeloye to the institution on Thursday,16th November,2023

In charting the course of action,he opined that the institution is blessed with a vast of land that investors can use for mutual benefits.This parcel of land  if productively tapped   will become a becon of agrarian  home to host communities and the state at large

According to him, he said agriculture will take a prime place under his watch with appreciable harvest which will reduce the burden and hardship currently facing the institution.

The Head of the investors having listened to the Ag.rector  assured the institution  that by early January 2024 all necessary proposals must have been concluded for some modern infrastructures such as hostels,eatries and event centres that will add value to the entire Polytechnic community.He also stressed that premium will be given to agriculture with a view to giving the institution some positive landmarks in the planting of tomatoes, cassava, maize as well as in animal husbandry.

The Ag.rector whilst appreciating the team for a plausible approach to his demands, he assured the team of investors, that  the Governing Council ll be intimated with this noble idea and which will pave way for a lasting partnership .

The meeting ended with a tour of the  land space and the  institution’s farm.The meeting was graced by  management team and  cognate senior officers in the institution .
