The Managing Director of the Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority (BORBDA), Hon. Femi Adekanmbi, PhD, has warmly congratulated Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on the Supreme Court’s affirmation of his victory in the November 16, 2024, governorship election.
The landmark ruling on September 17, 2025, dismissed all appeals from opposition parties, solidifying Aiyedatiwa’s mandate.
In a statement to journalists, Adekanmbi expressed unwavering confidence in Aiyedatiwa’s ability to advance the welfare of Ondo State’s citizens.
“Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership is a testament to his unwavering commitment to the socio-economic transformation of our beloved state,” he said.
“His focus and diligence over the years position him to elevate Ondo to new heights.”
Adekanmbi called on the people of Ondo State to unite in support of the governor’s vision, emphasizing collaboration as key to sustained progress.
“I urge all citizens to work hand-in-hand with Governor Aiyedatiwa to build a prosperous future for our state,” he added.
The Supreme Court’s decision, which followed the dismissal of petitions by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Social Democratic Party (SDP), and Allied People’s Movement (APM), marks a definitive endorsement of Aiyedatiwa’s landslide victory, where he secured 366,781 votes across all 18 local government areas.
