The Ondo State Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Mr Bamidele Ologunloluwa, has said state government had impacted positively in the lives of youths in the state through various programmes.
Ologunloluwa, stated this on Sunday in Akure when being given award for outstanding service as “Youth Capacity Developer of the Year’ conferred on him by at the 2023 edition of the Hero Magazine.
He said the state governor, Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, had done a lot in the last seven years to improve the lots of teeming youths with life changing programmes in the state.
According to him, the award, service to humanity and society, is dedicated to the state governor for his doggedness in fighting to get what belongs to youths, masses and improve the society and democracy in the state.
The Youths and Sports Commissioner said that the award had spurred him to do more to ensure that youths in the state benefited from the dividends of democracy.
Also speaking, the organisers of the award, Mr Sunday Akinbiola, described the commissioner as a man who was always noted for excellence and dedicated to achieving the highest possible standards in his work.
“He has a reputation for being innovative, resourceful, and creative, always finding new and better ways to do things.
“He is also known for his ability to inspire and motivate others, as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships with his associates, partners, and employees,” he stated.
Other recipients of the award are the state Commissioner for Finance, Mr Wale Akinterinwa, who was honoured as Man of the Year and Mr Gbenga Eleduma Abiodun as Community Development Influencer of the year amongst others.
