Standout performers in the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Yusuf Anas and Coach Daniel Ogunmodede, are set to be honoured on Tuesday, September 2, in Abuja.

The award ceremony and official reception were initially postponed due to the duo’s involvement in the preparations and participation of the CHAN Eagles.

NPFL Chairman, Otunba Gbenga Elegbeleye, announced the new date and reaffirmed the league’s commitment to promoting excellence by recognizing outstanding contributions to Nigerian football.

“It has been our policy to encourage players, coaches, and entire teams to elevate the quality of our league football through outstanding performances,” Elegbeleye said.

“We have consistently rewarded our best club, the highest goal scorers, and the best-performing coach in conjunction with our investment partner, GTI Assets Management.”

Yusuf Anas, of Nasarawa United, finished as the league’s top scorer with 17 goals, while Coach Ogunmodede led Remo Stars to their first-ever NPFL title—a historic achievement for the club.

Each of the awardees will receive a cash prize of ₦1.5 million along with a commemorative plaque, as part of the league’s broader strategy to incentivize excellence and inspire continued growth in Nigerian domestic football.
